The authority model

We define what an agent may do before it does anything.

Autonomy without a defined authority is a liability. We work with business owners, security, and risk to write the decisions down, in language a business can approve and a system can enforce.

The outcome is an authority model your executives can sign, your security team can enforce, and your auditors can read.

Business policy
The rules of the function itself: what good looks like, what is out of bounds, and what the agent is there to achieve.
Delegated authority
Whose authority the agent carries, the limits of that authority, and where it ends.
Data boundaries
What context the agent may read, retain, and pass on, and what must stay masked or out of reach.
Escalation rules
When a person must decide, who that person is, and how the hand-off happens without stalling the work.
Approval thresholds
The values, actions, and destinations that require sign-off before they proceed.
Evidence requirements
What must be recorded, for whom, and for how long, so every consequential action can be explained later.

Platform names are examples of what we commonly work with, not a coverage guarantee. Coverage depends on the platform, connector, deployment model, and scope of the engagement.

Where VisIQ enforcement fits

Not every agent needs enforcement. The consequential ones do.

Many capabilities read, summarize, draft, or recommend. Lab Services builds those without forcing an enforcement model onto them. VisIQ enforcement is added when an agent has:

Consultancies, MSSPs, MDRs, and system integrators are being asked to take clients from pilots to production. Lab Services gives you the delivery capacity, the enablement, and the platform to do it under your own relationship, and to build a practice of your own.

You own the client relationship. The VisIQ Partner Program registers and protects the accounts you bring, and VisIQ does not sell direct into registered accounts. Delivery, branding, and commercial models are set out on the Partner Program page.

Do we need the VisIQ platform to work with Lab Services?

No. Design, Build, Deploy, and Manage can each be purchased on their own. VisIQ enforcement is added when a capability has consequential authority, sensitive-data access, approval requirements, or proof obligations, and production use of that functionality is licensed separately.

Can you work with agents and platforms we already have?

Yes. Most engagements start inside an existing stack: the models, frameworks, tools, and applications your teams already use. We confirm the implementation path for your specific platforms during discovery.

Does every agent need an authority model?

Every agent needs a defined role. The depth of the authority model scales with what the agent can affect: a summarization capability needs far less than one that moves money or changes a record.

Who defines the policy?

Your business owners, security, and risk teams do, with us. We bring the structure, the questions, and the drafting; you bring the decisions. The result is written in language your executives can approve and your systems can enforce.

How are engagements scoped?

Around one business function, one existing agent estate, or one priority control problem. Deliverables, dependencies, acceptance criteria, schedule, and fees are set in each statement of work.

What do you need from us to start?

One function you want to explore, the people who own it, and a view of the systems it touches. That is enough for the first conversation.

How does a partner engagement work?

The partner owns the client relationship and chooses the delivery and branding model. VisIQ supplies the platform, enablement, and specialist delivery capacity under the agreed engagement model.
